FCB Fysiotherapie is a one (wo)man privately owned physiotherapy business operating in the Amsterdam area. 4 days per week operating out of SFR Beweegt Fysiotherapie practice in the Rivierenbuurt in Amsterdam South. Also physiotherapist to Amstelveen Rugby Club's (ARC) 1st team, playing in the dutch premier division.
Treatments can take place through English or Dutch.
I was born and grew up in Dublin, Ireland. I moved to Amsterdam in August 2009 to study physiotherapy in the International school in the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, European School of Physiotherapy program.
I studied Dutch through the Gemeente Amsterdam for one year, and passed my exams to NT2 level (Nederlands als tweede taal).
Since qualifying I have completed courses in Kinesio Taping KT1 and 2 and Dry Needling.
I opened FCB Fysiotherapie in March 2013, as I began working on a freelance basis in SFR Beweegt fysiotherapie practice in Amsterdam.
In Febuary 2013 I began studying my masters in Manual Therapy. This is a 3 year masters program through Saxion University in Enschede.
In March 2014 I participated in a Nordic Walking instructors course. I am a qualified instructor and always willing to take on new clients (individuals) or groups. I will be setting up groups in the coming months. Email for further information.
In October 2014 I qualified as a Clinical Lymphedema Therapist, through Klose Training. This qualification allows me to treat patients with lymphedema or swelling problems. It is a treatment method comprised of five different elements: manual lymph drainage (MLD), compression bandaging, exercises, skin and nail care and instructions in self care.
